heyo, what would you guys say is an acceptable percentage of plagiarism for a secondary source investigation?

(i'm not quoting sources but certain parts come up as coinciding with sources by less than 1% which adds up to around 11% 😭 )
if its turnitin its usually fine it flags like single words for me

I would say 10% .... but then it also depends on the size of the file. Like if its a 2 page thing with 11% plagiarism then that's too much.... I'm not sure tho

Depends on what I'm trying to do. If I'm working on a take home maths assessments, I'm definitely going to listen to music, but if I'm doing anything requiring words like english or practice tests I won't listen to music.

If I'm just doing practice questions for studying to keep my skills up, I might listen to softer music with no lyrics on low volume, otherwise no music or white noise or something. If something requires a decent bit of focus I won't listen to music

it really depends on the subject, i dont usually listen to music but if i do its usually when im doing math adv hw from school just cause its so repetitive and long, and most of the time doesn't require much thinking. if i'm self studying or getting ahead then i put it in the background

it also depends on what you listen on, i usually dont use headphones unless im actually dreading the work and just need to get it done, if i know im going to be self studing for more mathsy/straightforward subjects such as chem or physics i put on music in the background but dont use headphones cos it can be distracting. def dont listen to music for english tho

yes usually instrumental or lofi beats for memorising, for a while i liked brown noise but not heaps now. asmr is also nice for lower order things like taking notes or easy investigating science questions

Doing assignments maybe, but I never listen to songs with lyrics while I try to study content. Even if you don't realise it, you're probably being that slight bit unproductive because you're listening to your favourite parts/words. I recommend brown noise :)
