What if your parents and you went out for the day together, and they were somehow killed and you survived, then people called you idiots for whatever you were doing.

No, this is the appropriate forum. It's not what you think it is. Light and Offbeat refers to currents event and just happened news. The main forum is more for discussion of current affairs and larger ongoing news topics. But many people make the link you did.

Move on from this tangent

There have been plenty of threads about deaths that have concerned BoS members on a personal level.

I suggest that if you do know any victims personally... that you best avoid threads in NCAP. I find that it is inappropriate for you to express your opinions in a forum that is use to being objective. In the past, friends of suicide victims were hurt about not only the media coverage, but the unemotional responses on BoS about suicide. I cannot moderate the sensitivity of others if they make a good argument, especially if you yourself are in an unusual emotional state (or whatever).

Posts concerning this will be deleted.

Also, indeed why was this thread bumped?
