2014
Now that the 2015 HSC is over, I'm selling my Pompeii and Herculaneum notes for any enterprising 2016 students. It's a pretty comprehensive summary, and will be really useful in helping to bolster your notes during the course.

I'm from a Top 20 school, and came first in my internals for Ancient History. I came out with 95 for the Ancient HSC, achieving Band 6s for all my other courses, as well as getting into the Top 3 in the state for Visual Arts.

Every header fits the syllabus dot points to ensure all information is relevant. I've also put a lot of photographs of buildings/structures, which is integral to recognising the source images in HSC exams. In terms of how up-to-date the ethics/changing interpretations are, I've followed up all the recent collapses and thefts, with the most recent mention being in September when an American tourist tried to smuggle a piece of a Pompeian column in his luggage. (EDIT: I no longer update the summary, most recent discoveries/events are since November 2014)

Most, if not all pages are in dot points and are usually no longer than one or two lines for easier reading. It's a 93 page document in full, and I'm charging $50 for the Core package. The price may be a bit steep, but you get what you pay for!

I also have comprehensive Ancient summaries for the electives Sparta, Personalities: Julius Caesar, and the Fall of the Roman Republic. Each elective costs $30, but for each elective purchased alongside the Core package, you get a subsequent $10 off.

If you're interested in the summaries and would like to learn more, I am best reached at taconotes@gmail.com.

All syllabus dot points are colour-coded red, and quotes (always cited) are bolded and italicised for easier readability. The Sparta summary is different from the Core, Personalities, and Roman Republic unit as it's organised in a box format, which includes the main summary, archaeological sources, as well as at least one or two modern and ancient sources for each dot point.

This ensures the summary is a comprehensive overview of the entire unit. The summary also includes essay plans for the dot points covered under Cultural Life and Everyday Life, and essays for Greek writers' views of Sparta, Spartan Art, and the Role of the Spartan Army.
