Hey anybody who will read this I just have a couple of questions.

Firstly, I got a UAI of 97.3 which was kind of unexpected so I hadn't really thought SERIOUSLY about Syd Uni... but now i am... so...

B of International Studies is a new course... what do you expect the UAI entrance mark to be?

I didn't apply of colleges before because I had a place at the village but now thats become a studio apartment instead of a 5 bedroom apartment which I really wanted. Is it worth it or are there still colleges i could apply for?

Bearing in mind my UAI and that im interested in things like business (not economics), arts, law etc (just not medicine/science/engineering areas) what are some good courses?

Thanks for your time!

have you considered b of arts/sciences? in that you get to do arts subjects, business subjects, science subjects and legal studies subjects. Its a new course starting next year, so the uai is unknown....

"the new three-year arts and sciences degree will enable students to acquire key understandings in the arts, sciences, law and economics and business, while also allowing students to pursue an interest in specialised areas. Available subject areas include foundation courses in arts, sciences, law and economics"

Most colleges are still accepting applications, i know Drews and Wesley are.
Check out the info page http://www.usyd.edu.au/fstudent/index.shtml for future students. Usually you have to contact the colleges directly to apply. College is always good for 1st years, you get to meet heaps of ppl and theres always stuff going on. The village is better if you want to be more independant, or in later years when you get sick of college.

Dont know about International studies, but i'd say you'd be in with a shot if you put it down on your prefs, being a new course, i'd say demand wouldnt be extremely high, but its hard to tell.
