hey ppl,

i do sexual ethics for all three religions (SOR 2unit) - Christianity/Islam/Buddhism

and i was wondering whether abortion can be included in a sexual ethics response?

i did it in the trial and it seemed fine and we did it in class but im jut not sure if it fits in since i hev seen people put it in bioethics.

thanks

Abortion is life and death so I think it's better suited for bioethics.

We do abortion in bioethics. Bioethics is abortion, euthanasia and IVF. Sexual ethics I assume is more adultery and contraception?

We did abortion under sexual ethics (for Buddhism).

This is a quote from the BOS: "Buddhist sexual ethics are based on the notion of causing no harm to oneself or to others."

So since the Buddhists believe life begins at conception, abortion can be under sexual ethics.

Obviously you need to state that quote (or something like that) first, and then argue abortion.
