hey i was wandering if we have off campus access to newspapers online

i particularly need the australian financial review and i really do not want to pay $4.40 for a 400 word article

I don't really know. You might get something in the journals which are online through the library. Other than that, I don't think that you can get them online.

Does your uni have the database "Factiva", you should be able to get newspaper articles through it for free (ie, your uni pays the subscription fee for you)

As hispta_jess and natstar have pointed out, Factiva is a database you can use for newspapers.

maybe go and see someone in the library?? They should be able to tell you what resources are available to students, I remember being told to see them about the same thing by a lecturer once if need be...they might not be much help but at least you'll know if you're missing something...the uni pays for access to different articles so they may be able to help you out.

Also, my uni offers a thing that we can request subscriptions to journals and stuff, if we don't already hold a licence, perhaps you can ask them to subscribe to an electronic version of the AFR
