Hey, last night my mate told me that only the second half of the unit content is examinable- as in only the futures, forwards and options stuff.

But I was under the impression everything was examinable. Who is right?

Can anyone clear this up for me? Thanks.

Your mate is right, with the exception that there is going to be some stuff about market efficiency from the first half. The rest he said would come from topics not tested in the midsem.

informational effy - like weak form and strong form stuff?

Check the announcements on WebCT.

The informational efficiency stuff is only gonna be worth about 5-10% of the entire exam; not much, but it's worth knowing anyway because it's easy.

About 50% of the exam will be calculations. Know the calculations well— and you will at least gain some knowledge of the underlying theory as well. On top of that, know the informational efficiency stuff— and there's your pass.
