Accommodation/Places to Stay: Manly Beach area (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know of a decent, as in, 'cheap' place to stay for the night in Manly, preferably near the beach? Like a youth hostel/backpackers/hotel or anything? Names/locations/streets/benches??? For my 18th - planning day in Manly and whatever else comes after that day...

I live in Syd but never pay attention to places to stay when I go there.. mmm...

Final exams for me start on exactly my 21st birthday...

As for manly would be the Manly Cottege Inn, more info can be found at http://www.youth-hostels-in.com/hostels/manly-cottage-inn-australia.htm . It's a decent place to stay for a night for the price you pay, considering it's only roughly $15 a night, although it's usually packed with backpackers and the like which means the place will be active all night.

Surely the beach will be fine? Try sleepig in shifts, if you are with a group.

Haha, true true... but slap in the middle of July might be a wee bit cold, unless we bring a cupboard's worth of clothes...
