i got a 'pass' but i worked out that i've got like 23 or so out of 50 whcih is below 50% .... do i fail?!!??!?!

Well as long as there was nothing stated in the UOS outline about u needing to get a certain mark in the final exam e.g. 20/50 then u can relax since u have passed the course so its all good

Really?Has that always been the case...they must of changed it when i did it then...i know for the later acct units the 2XXX and 3XXX need a certain mark in the final like one of my friends said they need to get 45/100 at least for the final exam to pass the course.
But then why give and overall pass it doesn't make any sense....i know with the IT units if u get below 40/100 for the final the max u can get for your overall grade is 45 not sure about the Commerce units though

Lecturers do use bell curves you know - your added up marks from all your assessments may not be indicative of your final result
