ACCT1511 and FINS1613 Quizzes (1 Viewer)

Anyone that's doing the quizzes for these two subjects next week, do you have any ideas as to what they're gonna be on?

I'm guessing cash flow calculations for ACCT1511 (probably just from operating activities) and compound interest/annuities calculations for FINS1613.

I have my quizzes right after each other, so it's gonna be pretty annoying to say the least!

I think you're right.. the only quantitive works we did on acct was cash flows.. so that MUST be the component.

for fins.. week 2 and 3 only.. I'm thinking more of bonds and share value.. cus annunities are just QMA stuff. (easy)

yes there are but there won't be any for your first quiz

It's different quizzes for each tutorial class.

I had mine today and they gave us a cash flow statement and asked us to work out the cash from financing and cash from investing. I think I did pretty poorly, mainly because I was concentrating on finance and tried to cram.

He gave us 15 minutes at the end of the tutorial. Suffice it to say, you're pretty rushed!

Ah well, at least the quizzes are much better than the annoying media tasks last semester. I'd rather have a 15-30 minute quiz that's worth 5% and that actually forces you to revise the stuff more regularly than an assignment that took 2-3 nights to finish (+ the collection of articles) that's worth the same.

I did the quiz on Wednesday. It was okay, but I freakin forgot to include one thing on the cash flow for financing activities...

I wonder if they'll mark the workings... though it seems unlikely...

Just 3 quizzes, the mid-semester and final exams.

If they have assignments, at least make it 10% instead of 5% each...

wow... you guys have quizzes for ACCT 1b.. We just had a mid session and an assignment I think..

As for FINS1613 the test was easy, I think I got the 'easy' version, or paper. The theory question was the difference between debt and equity, which is straight from the lecture notes. And from the other versions I've heard that the theory is straight from the lecture notes.

yeah. so glad i got that paper... i deliberately memorised the table from the lec notes, after hearing that it was a possible question in the quiz.
