ACCT1511 TAS question... (1 Viewer)

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else...

For the TAS pref for ACCT1511, I chose one of the Friday slots - but according to the accounting website, the friday tuts were cancelled on the 19th (even though TAS closed on the 15th) (see: ACCT timetable thing)

What I'm confused at is that my TAS thing says I am "unallocated" for ACCT tuts...it didn't even go to my 2nd/3rd/4th/5th preference...

I know on the TAS site it says...

There may be an occasion where all preferences for a student are full. In this case the student will remain unallocated until someone moves out of the class. You can be assured that these occasions are rare.

BUT i've already asked 2 friends who also selected Friday times and they are also 'unallocated'....(makes me wonder the meaning of *rare*)

so just wondering...Does anyone else have this problem?? and does it mean that when TAS reopens on the 25th, I have to hope for the best and redo my TAS preferences for ACCT1511???

fri 11-12
fri 10-11
wed (right after the lec)

hmm, didn't realise they cancelled the friday tut's, how evil of them, closing the tuts AFTER we put in our preferences, talk about BS!

i downloaded the tas app thingy, yeah it seems 25th july 9am it is when we get the availability to put new preferences down.

the TAS system for fce is so outdated

gee...it seems like anyone who chose Friday as they're 1st preference just didn't get allocated a tutorial!!!

whats the point of putting down our 2nd, 3rd etc preferences if they don't use them!!!

Mmm yeah.."unallocated" happens sometimes for no real reason.
Either way 90% of people change classes on the first few days so no big deal

yeh heaps of people change during first week so if you know of a class but is full, keep checking when ever possible and you will have a good chance of getting in
i had to do this for FINS last semester which worked quite well
i just sat in commerce labs and kept refreshing until it was avaliable ever ~five minutes

yeh..i'd havta redo all my tute times as well. otherwise i'd have 5 consecutive hrs on monday!

haha yea same here.. I'm not happy with my preferences, so Im going to reallocate... all depends on if i can overload or not.

My timetable is packed in to Monday and Tuesday, since I have 1 hour on Wednesday, 2 hours on Thursday and nothing on Friday. I'm happy with that.

Plus, I so won't be going to most of my lectures.
