i'm unsure if i would like to undertake actuarial studies at the moment and want to wait a semester or two before i decide. i'm doing adv math/commerce and am wondering whether i should study math1141 or math1151 if I want to keep my options open for whatever major i decide. is math1141 or math1151 prereqs for many subjects?

yeah, but if i do math1151 and then decide i dont want to do actuary what will be the ramifications?
and vice verse if i do math1141 and then decide i want to do actuary.

MATH1151 and 1141 are mostly interchangeable, I believe. You won't lose anything.

Yes, so you take MATH1151 - like I said before.

Do 1151/1251. But don't stress over it. Even if you had done 1141 they wouldn't make you go back and do 1151. The problem would be that you wouldn't have covered some of the probability ideas in session 1 that are needed to ACTL1001, so that subject would be pretty hard.
