I got the wireless netcomm one, which is external.

I don't recommend getting an internal ADSL modem because it makes it dificult to share internet, as I said with the USB modems.

Is there any benefit of going Wireless (other than having less wires hanging around)? I think I am actually going to get the Billion 5100. It seems to get better reviews than the NetComm NB1300 PLUS 4:).

i guess if you're not up for cabling your house up, then yeah, u can go wireless.

but if ur comps are like 3m apart... I don't really see the benefit.

I'm running both wired and wireless.
I cabled up my down and upstairs so that part is wired, and wireless for laptop. as well as streaming music across my backyard.

Wireless is less secure and costs more. But it's neater especially when you want to hook up your computer to your sound system etc..

I have two 5-port switches in my study.. hooked up two computers, a wireless router, and my adsl modem to one of them.. if i need to i'll plug in my laptop or wander around the house.

My sister's computer is on the opposite end of the house and cabling it was such a hassle.. wireless is so much neater but she gets a crappier signal (doesn't seem to bother her)

does anyone know what is the best way to hook a Windows-PC (mine, in my bedroom) and my sisters soon-to-be 12" iBook (her room, end of the hallway)? distance probably ten metres maximum - three walls, two gyrock, one tiled bathroom.

i was thinking of replacing my existing NetComm NB3 with a Belkin wireless ADSL router, but will that support AirPort Express (whatever that standard is)?

oh, and do you reckon i should be greedy and use my sister as an excuse to bump up my ADSL speed to 512kbps? :D

airport express is just 802.11g, should work

distance is no problem, i get perfect reception 30+m away through several walls.

yes, get 512/128 :D
