This is a robot (i believe anyway).

If you want to stop this advertising, you can implement that technology you see on yahoo, hotmail etc when you sign up for an email account where you have to input the text given on an image before you can proceed.

So far there have been 3 advertisements in one day, 2 of which were advertising dangerous/illegal pyramid schemes.

It stops robots etc :)

Good idea mathmite.

Ive seen this used on other forums too.
All new users should be required to put in a security code.

This was suggested some time ago...so long ago I don't remember who it was, and I don't actually remember the reason it was never implemented either, though I'm sure its on the admins' to do list somewhere.

Maybe you can get a module or something? can't be too hard to modify the register.php to have an extra check box or something which robots won't know how to respond to?

As for robot.. how can you tell it's a bot? All I know is that it has a 0 post count o_O

I thought we'd already set this up ages ago, but as it happens, I had forgotten to turn it on. :p

It's done now. Thanks.

Yes... considering the user posted a mere three seconds after registering, I'd say you're correct.
