Hey guys,

I haven't been on here for awhile but would like some advice from likeminded people.

I'm doing a course at UNSW where it is expected you have a cadetship in your second/third year. It's a fairly small cohort, thus it is not very competitive.

My course coordinator recommended me to two companies who required one or two cadets for their increasing workload.

One company contacted me soon after. I went in for an interview and it went ok. The interviewer (lets call her Jane) asked me what days I could skip uni because it was a full time commitment. When uni began I asked the lecturer if this was ok, he said it was fine as long as I could attend the group presentations towards the end of the semester.

I got back to Jane last Friday and she informed me that she was overseas. However she said her manager (lets call him Bob) wanted me in for a final interview on the following Monday and that she would arrange a time for me. Come Sunday afternoon, Jane has not got back to me with a time so I text because I have to make arrangements for covers at my regular job. She replies and tells me Bob would call me directly Monday noon to organise the interview but he never called. I called the company 2pm when a gentleman picked up telling me Bob was in a meeting and that he would pass the message on.

It's Wednesday night now and I haven't received any correspondence.

Do you guys think I should chase them up or just leave it alone to look for other opportunities?
