yeah scaling was the same.. however i think the exam aligned less favourably then previous years.

Haha, it's alright. Yeah, the aligning was weaker but not too weak. Normally, there are usually ~10% band 6s in the Sciences - if it's that consistent, they're setting the Band 6 cut-off at the right standard.
