Hi! i was just wondering if anyone knows what were some of Akhenaten's achievements as pharaoh with archaeological evidence to support it or at least some sort of evidence.
I'm kinda stuck on the evidence bit......
I'm not an Egypty person but with my extremely limited knowledge i'm pretty sure that you should have a look at the archaeological evidence at Tel El Amarna. Sorry i can't be more helpful, Egypt just aint my thing!
establishing the cult of Aten shifting (to a degree) worship of amun and other gods. Monotheisim. The epic project of glorifying Armana. other political shit.
he had many achievements in his reign but they were mainly short term. you can talk about:
*his new artistic style (berlin stelae)
* building program- east karnak and akhetaten (boundary steale)
* the elivation of himself to god like status as a part of the divine triad this gave him more power(hymn to the aten)
*the removal of power from the amun cult (tax dockets which depict the removal of funds)
*complete focus on the aten (hymn to the aten)
there are others you could look at but these are some of the prominent ones
