so ur estimating from prev years which will still lead to significant variation due to this years scaling
im just estimating from last years data, aligned->scaled conversion doesn't change too much year to year though since the whole idea of aligned marks is that they're comparable between years within a subject. so up high atars it should be within about 0.2 ATAR points (more likely to be too low than too high) I'd say

its impossible to make a perfectly accurate ATAR calculator though, since there are multiple raw marks per aligned mark which each produce different scaled marks
