Am I allowed in this thread if I am only starting yr 12 hsc lol?
You guys did so well. I am doing so badly already that I have year advisers pulling me away for private, awkward talks about how I am not getting the results he knows I can get and why ..."is there anything going on at home that is affecting your results?". No NO. I'm just a lazy procrastinator whose stuffing around and stuffing up. meweeeehhhh :mad1:
Sorry for rant, hope I entertained someone.
Any inspiring stories that will lift me out of my depression? Anyone believe I will do well? My last chance is to turn it around in these holidays...Maybe I deserve to be depressed, maybe it will shake me up.
Dw about it you'll come round.
I had the exact same problem...I'm lazy and I procrastinate like anything
I struggled through year 11 and 12... doing assignments the night before and half-assed...I droped from Maths to General and almost dropped from English Adv to Standard
Then just before trials I started going to the library and really enjoyed it there...I managed to get a heap of work done as well as socialising with friends. I just loved the atmosphere there.
I went to the library pretty much everyday of stuvac for 6-8hrs a day (studied for about 3hrs lol) but in the end I really did try hard and came round and gave it my best.
And if you don't, don't worry, there is always options available.
Buuut from experience I would say start trying to get into a work pattern. Just find one that works for you. Maybe it's locked in your room without a computer or tv, maybe it's with a friend or maybe it's at the library. Find out sooner rather then later because a good work environment is all you need to boost your marks.
