lol! I didn't even know there was such a series!
I don't actually know WHERE I came up with Ellie Belly. I think I was just out of ideas as to what to put for my email, and belly rhymed with Ellie...

It's not just about Buddy Holly. It's also about the Big Bopper and some other guy
Richie Valens.

Chantilly Lace was always my favourite Big Bopper song. I'd dance around the living room to it when I was little

This was my favourite song for most of my childhood. I think I heard it when I was 6 or 7, and I use to make my parents tape it over and over on 5 tapes so I could listen to it over and over.

Of course I never knew the significance, so I don't know why I loved it so much as a kid lol. Awesome song though

SAME!

One of the best songs ever!!!

A long long time ago.. I can still remember how that music used to make me smile :) and I knew that if I had my chance, I could make those people dance, and maybe they'd be happy for a while... woooo... on that note, I'm going to listen to this song! :D

What I think is most enigmatic and interesting about 'American Pie' is the fact that McLean refuses to say what it's about, letting the listener interpret it for themselves.

I loved the lines about the Rolling Stone's concert where someone died, and Elvis' decline. Made it sound so much like a story in it's own right before finding out about what they represented.
