no, it's not listed in the EAS table

and it's not even disadvantage

a disadvantage scheme has to be impacted during yr 11 and yr 12...

unless something life threatening has impacted u, e.g. death of family member etc..

and i dont think moving houses 3 weeks b4, would of affected you greatly

i understand your trying to secure more oppurtunities for u to make ur way into uni.. but really the EAS is designed for people who really suffer from disadvantage, please try to consider that , as it's unfair for the eligible candidates to not have their EAS processed or make it into the EAS offers from the UNI's just because people are using non-plausible reasons for applying.
and sliming down the chances for others to recieve the EAS scheme, as instiutions only offer like around 5-10% of placements for this scheme

my advice to u is, not care at all about unpacking and cleaning, free ur house obligations, and slam the door on ur folks until ur HSC has ended, im sure they'll understand u need to study, and the time is precious

sleeping in my room.
i had 1 relative (grandma), 1 next door neighbour, and 1 supervisor (from YAA) who died this year.. and last year..

but i'm not even doin EAS for those.

i was merely askin for this, cos i kno that it will impact my hsc results...ok

i think that anyone who moves houses 3 weeks b4 hsc will be impacted enough...

u say as though its so easy to 'slam the door' on my folks...wel i'm the only guy in this family of 3..wif my sister and my mom..not like i'm goin to let my sister and mom do the movin..ok..

i'm also filin for youth allowance,
and my house got burgled too..my room was trashed, my mom lost all her jellewery...anyway..

thanx for replyin.

sorry dude.. lol

but u see u didnt quite state that in ur post

and i kinda got angryed in a way

because uno ive been seeing alot of ppl at my scool abusing it

and like in ur post u only stated a move for 3 weeks, i mean relatively u should be studying to the max everyday from now and i meanprobably the 3 weeks move will have a little impact but not greatly becoz they'll expect u studied throughout the yr anyway just the matter of refreshing ur brain

anyways sorry

It's you're family being inconsiderate for moving you 3 weeks before the HSC I reckon. Thats where the problem lies.

What if say i got a very sick grandma. Can't walk, need to feed her and everything. But i don't take care of her, my mum doese

Is it possible to get the EAS and say i have been affected?

i.e. I have to take care, sad because she is so weak, fragile etc..?

Well then you're not disadvantaged are you!! Why don't you try and get you're own marks instead of abusing the system!!

Why should I when no one is going to find out?

I'm sure most people including you would try any method to gain the UAI they need.

It's like asking a guy "hey i got the HSC paper 2003, you want it?"

Obviously the guy is going to say yes. Who would say nah i prefer to get my own marks...?

Yes anyone would try any scheme to get a higher UAI. We are called "human" for that particular reason.

Do you think my situation is possible to apply for access scheme?

Also, does the amount of "UAI points" you hypothetically get based on how bad you are affected? or is consistant throughout?

I heard doing ESL automatically gives you something to write about for EAS even if your English is really good.

Well for a start its purgery if you sign a document declaring false particulars, and anyone like me who believes that you are being unfairly advantaged would have no hesitation in dobbing you in for it.

Obviously, but since you won't know who i am or what my real situation is you'd be wasting a lot of time trying to do that :p

I don't care whether its legal or not. 10 seconds after turning my computer on i've already broken the law :)

No one would even know I applied for the scheme :)

I checked the application, apparantly if you are receiving youth allowance you qualify for EAS.

Mine had construction within our school through the entire year.

They built fences inside our schools to block off construction areas as well as constructed within our school. And if i recall correctly, out teacher said its -not- a distraction so don't bother applying for it....
