We need to find a way to which we can solve it using the algebraic methods we know, its obvious that we need to bring this to a quadratic form:

this is why using full stops as a multiplication symbol is stupid and confusing. putting a times sign removes all confusion. also, in your guys working shouldnt you show that 9^x gets turned into (3^x)^2 instead of jumping straight to the next line?
