Looking at our question:



We need to find a way to which we can solve it using the algebraic methods we know, its obvious that we need to bring this to a quadratic form:
In order to get it into quadratic form we need to have something squared and something.

Lets sub in u=3^x

But the second part is 4.3^x how did make this into 3^x

its already in terms of 3^x.
4.3^x is 4(3^x) not 4.3

this is why using full stops as a multiplication symbol is stupid and confusing. putting a times sign removes all confusion. also, in your guys working shouldnt you show that 9^x gets turned into (3^x)^2 instead of jumping straight to the next line?
