i got disagree with you in regards to MC Q 2...cuz if you think about it a box by defintion has a bottom

ummm...17 i think its B...dunno why but made sense...proballi wrong on it

and for Q25 b) the tree diagram...im quite sure that the denominator doesnt change because they said ( two at a time)...if u kinda get what i mean...if you take two out the probaibility for getting it is still the same, but if you take 1 out...then the possibilitys decrese cause your missing one. hence a lower prob...but yer could b wrong

I don't think (ii) is asking for the amount of alcohol per minute, but just the amount of "drink" per minute.

Rate = 375 mL/1.6 drinks
= 234.375 mL/1 drink
= 234.375 mL/1 hour (1 drink per hour)
= 3.90625 mL/min
I thought it would be alco per min.

They dont state it clearly in the question, so im sure they would accept both, i mean, showing you can work out either shows you could do the other one.

for that one i got 0.2 ml/min....im thinking im wrong cause every1 else is not getting my answers :(...grrr!...i think its 0.2 because they have given you 1.6 standard drinks...and the MAXIMUM is one standard drink so hence you have to convert

your right i got the too, the equstion said a male should drink 1 standard drink 9this is a reference to alcohol) per hour. So by that logic you calculate how many ml of alcohol per minute. so yes 0.2:1

Can someone explain the 1/15 for 24 b) (iv)

I got 1/20

432
431
321

:(

Also how do you do 24 c)

And I also got 0.2mL/min
Hopefully they'll accept both because the question didn't really specify

i feel as though they will only accept 0.2...because although they hav note made it explict they will use the subtle english excuse lyk always...."one standard drink"...and i reckon this can be further suppourted because if you think about it...this is kind of a ratio question..

1.6:20ish mLs

1=?

and then convert

PC, are you sure that question Q27 (a)(ii) is 5 hours? It asked how long the flight took, not the time difference. 5 hours is the time difference between Kenya and Borneo. I got 9 hours because s=d/t - therefore I used my previous answer. 8377/913 = 9 hours.

And for the next one, I went forward 5 hours from the Kenyan time - 10pm Tuesday - 5 hours forward = 3am Wednesday. So 3am Wednesday PLUS the 9 hours flying time gave me 12pm Wednesday (the arriving time of the plane in Borneo).

EDIT: Someone already beat me to it LOL. I take it back :)

lol ive posted so much...but id jus like to say one thing.

i think everybody or from what ive heard everyone thinks Q28 the last bit and Q27B) the loan bit is the hardest, and that is about 10makrs althought you will atleast get a bare minimum of 5 with okay working out.

but i think their neglecting the small little nitty grittys lyk the kenya flight question and the alchol one and even multiple choice box one...which kinda adds up to be a bit more...lol
