a) You can make queries in databases, databases allows the generation
of reports, furthermore if depletes redundancy.

b) Exporting is a direct conversion through the software package, when
exporting data from spreadsheets to databases, you have numerous
options to export the data, you can select specific spreadsheets, select
particular fields to export, the process is all automated through a wizard
and is much convenient for large sets of data.

c) (i)

Salutation, Surname, Firstname, Role, Address, Post Code, E-mail
address, Company,Phone Number, Fax Number

(ii) Not Sure about this one...

d) First of all you need the actual Letter/Document file which is
pre-typed up and having all the necessary field tags inserted into the
document which directly links to the fields from where you're merging the
data from, this is known as the data source, generally a database file
which holds a list of records. Once that's ready, starting up the
mail-merge wizard will automate the process.

17 (a)

(i) =(C4-B4)

(ii) =SUM(C2:C5)

(b) 4000

(C) Resize the cell column, this is appears when the cell is not wide
enough to show the contents.

(d) Parentheses indicate that the number enclosed will be a negative
number.

(i) One source would be consulting Online Help files, another way would
be reading pre-installed tutorial guides from the help menu.

chart wizard mode and selecting the appropriate axis and any other data
to be graphically displayed and also choosing an appropriate chart
display, e.g. column, pie. bar

c) Spell check only performs comparisons on each word against the built
in dictionary and custom-dictionary, if any words pickedup is not
enlisted, this word is rendered as being spelt incorrectly. Grammar checker
goes through a strand of sentencing and picks up any grammatical errors
which it believes is incorrectly phrased.

d) Custom dictionary a user-defined dictionary, this is where a user
can add new words which the built in dictionary from the spell-checker
does not have listed already, generally this might be useful to add new
jargon type specific words etc..

e) 5 Pages

f) Then the pages won't be collated and it would print out in this
order

<1,1,5,5,6,6,7,7,9,9> as opposed to <1,5,6,7,9>, <1,5,6,7,9>

Question 11 from the multiple choice, I think the answer is wrong because the organisational chart do not merely consist of employees. It think it should be "C". Im not sure... I might be wrong.

The question is: Which of the following best describes an organisational chart?

(A) A graphic representation of the organisation's employees
(B) A diagram depicting the long-term goals of the organisation
(C) A structural representation of the departments within the organisation
(D) A flowchart that outlines operational procedures within the organisation
