avg's awesome, but apparantly the new norton 360's not a hog
unconfirmed sources say norton develops viruses for themselves to get back as cash $$$$ by selling anti-virus products to defeat their own viruses and maybe others and stealing annual awards from other legitimate anti-virus makers that they rightfully deserve.

well, i did show incompetent norton was a few posts ago.

my laptop came with norton360, never use it and never will.
and what do you know?
apparently it was a goddamn trial!

free anti-viruses do a better job

but then i heard NOD32 is good for the corporate level.

I'd recommend avast, its pretty decent, way better then norton imo. AVG is alright, but it annoyed the heck out of me with it's constant scanning and downloading of new updates.

I use AVG free 8.5, it seems to work well enough

norton is buggy, and make your computer run really slowly

that said, try to steer clear of anything microsoft, they release viruses in order to make you buy their stuff
