hey guys,

does anyone know a fair bit about Blogspot?

I'm a music producer (hip-hop and rnb) and I've got a new music production related blog but the layout looks pretty damn boring :(

http://beatmaking.blogspot.com/

does anyone have some suggestions do improve my layout? particularly the background

thanks!

A few years ago I taught myself html by using HTMLgoodies.com as a reference, and playing around with HTML files (if you're on a Windows machine, change the extension of a text file to .HTML and it'll be treated as a html file rather htan a txt file... do note that by default windows hides extensions, though...).

Sounds like the stuff you want is pretty simple, so it shouldn't be too hard; take a look at HTMLgoodies and hopefully that should help you out with it all.

Good luck!

If you can use something like photoshop or paintshop pro you can create your own logos and stuff which you can put in to a simple template to make it look fairly stylish fairly simply.

For example, I know html and some css but I didn't want to spend ages doing a template from scratch. Both of my blogs are based on the minima blogspot template with tweaks and original graphics.

Another thing as someone else suggested is to google for blog templates. There is a big variety out there etc.

Also, a good place for technical advice is www.bloggerforum.com.
