I know its a booring topic that has lots of variables that could change but...
I didnt get into any courses that i had listed in the main round (bugger).
I Wanted to do mechanical engineering at newy with a cut off of 74.65 (it also has a v ). My uai was 69.05 plus 4 b.p. which brings me up to 73.05.
My question is how much hope is there of me getting in the late round.

You might, all depends on how many people are doing it etc. Alot of courses actually went up by like .5 of a point or even up to 2 UAI points so you'll just have to wait and see. If the course isn't full by the main round then you may have a chance

i'd try for something more secure like b Science and then transferring across at a later date.

Did you have any other preferences that you got offers for at UNCLE?

If you do, i'd accept it like highway_man said, work your butt off in first year, and transfer over after first year. Unfortunately the uni isn't known for offering heaps of second round offers.

You could also call admissions at the uni on (02) 4921 6589 to talk to them about it and confirm your options.

Lol yeah no other offers as newy was really my back up. I have enrolled for tafe so i can transfer over after that if i want.
