Well.. i don't know about speech ideas.. but i suppose..
Other than the imagery used.. like.. the description they used make you imagine what is happening as they tell the story in a very narrative-type-style. They're telling a story. You imagine the yellow submarine.. you imagine the sky of blue and sea of green.. etc.
And also, the song starts with '

So.. there's a man.. that tells them about his journeys.. so they go on an imaginative journey while doing this.. and then they actually <i>go</i> and do these things.

That's all i thought of off the top of my head.. it might also be a good idea to look at the movie 'Yellow Submarine'.. could be idea.
