sit around a round table with a 2 reps from a big company/firm and you talk to them about what they do, and ask qu etc.

it's great actually.

last year it was dinner at the four seasons and a couple of talks from different people from CA

Sounds like good networking opportunity as well. Could be very useful once you finish your degree.

True, but I guess that only applies if you make a big impression- one "business leader" can meet so many students on the night.

Yeh, I guess making a big impression helps a lot.

But even if you dont make a big impression, it would be a valuable ice-breaker to act as an introduction if you ever meet that leader again.
