it's actually a little under 1000 bucks this year. the shortfall is filled through various sponsorships.

Well, it was $850 last yr... and you should probably get your school to sponsor half your cost... and bruce hall at ANU is possibly the best accomodation there is...! :p

did you go? it's more than 850 this year, and i pay most of it, school gives little. not that it matters. i hardly get the chance to spend so much money, and it's one off. so who cares.

If you're going this year. Play set (Norm should bring it), play bartog. If Kester still has a mohawk, yell out "Go the Mo!" Also, Terry usually asks a few questions in his lectures, if you know the answer don't hesitate to stick your hand up.

Don't ask me, ask the BOS. It may have something to do with the fact that I assumed 45 degrees was the optimum angle for firing a projectile. They may have wanted me to derive it.

that's a really scary thought. they won't deduct marks for something but would hold it against you when ranking. i really got to pick up on my working and setting out, otherwise i'd lose big in the hsc. our school is noticeable tougher when marking now. they'd take off half-marks for trivial things, i guess it all helps in the long run.
although, i don't think you should be too concerned keypadsdm, about your equal second for 3U. i mean, overall, taking both 3U and 4U into account, you'd be first (according to smh anyway). so revel in your new-found status! :)

Hey keypad did you get 100 and 100 or 99 and 100? Maybe it's because your 100 was rounded up.

I got 100's for both school and exam marks, which scaled to a 100 for the HSC mark.

It's to do with the scaling of 3 unit within the BOS. You don't get your raw mark as your exam mark, it scales up (for the higher end). So it makes sense to assume that a mark of 82, 83 or 84 out of 84 in the exam itself would scale to a 100 exam mark. Hence why I didn't get first.

so you didn't get 100% in the exam, it's just the scaled mark, that right?
