marzie! ames! ...i can't believe it..i thought our skool's the only one with less than 10 ppl in a class for music. *sigh* this is how low music courses have become...*breathes in* we need more musicians in this country! heheh..

*sigh*..how can u ppl complain about ur voice? ur violin? u guys are all talented n u guys are just taking it for granted...u should be proud of what you have. :)

is it true, for 3unit or extension or whatever u call it, u HAVE to perform an Australian piece??

Ames...do u think we get more credit or up scaling when we tell them we've done certain grades in AMEB?? i've heard rumours about it...or maybe it's in the old syllabus?

i'm bringing a hot water bottle and mittens to school on monday trials. heheheh..please, call me crazy. argh, damn visual art exam, or else i warm up n prepare for my performance instead of worrying for both. *sigh* owel, that's life.

er, you have to do an Australian piece that was written in the last 25 years if you take music 2. This is your core performance piece. As a result every extension cadidate must also do this however "extension" pieces don't have any specific boundaries.

AMEB grades have absolutely nothing to do with HSC music. I think if you told them that "Hey, you know I've done 8th grade clarinet" they'd dismiss you as a pretentious, self-loving idiot.

...sorry to be so blunt

and by the way the only person that got a 20/20 for any piece in our trial peroformances was a vocalist. As a vocalist you just have to be in tune and "perform" it....really communicate the feelings your trying to express in your song etc. Actually this basically goes for any instrument, but its probably easier for singers to do it than instrumentalists.

Although it would be funny.

That's why I think singing would be easy. Although that sore throat thing before an exam would be a worry. And I think nerves tends to make you THINK you have a sore throat too.

ha, I might just point out that the only person that takes music 1 at our school plays the bagpipes. The markers had no idea how to judge him at the trials...

he got a 13/20 from one marker and 20/20 from the other....

(personal note: bagpipes are horrible instruments)

Nope, I cancelled my singing lessons with Kelly.

Yeah, you'd better not get sick on the day of ur exams. But if that does happen you can always use your quick solution... Butter menthol :D

Nah, but you'll do fine.

Can someone PLEASE tell this girl how very very WRONG she is on that?

You just find it hard to believe because you're gifted, meaning you are good at practically everything you do. And therefore, you find it hard to believe that you actually have a lot of talent.

Come on Pet! I wish I could draw like you :(

ha, yeah he surely set the mood alright. Dressed himself up in full highland uniform. I don't what all of the stuff is but...

* Kilt (overcourse)
* An overly large black head dress
* man, I don't know what all this stuff was called...

He topped it off by marching on and off stage - as if on parade.

.....I hate bagpipes, their damn loud and constructed specifically to not ever play certain notes in tune -- urgh, and people say they get headaches from drumkits :p

so yeah, I'd probably give him 13/20 just for putting me through the misery :D
