Preferably for film, but I am interested in stage direction as well. Or both.
I am looking for a course that'll take someone straight after school, so not AFTRS, sadly.

[i haven't checked out the courses for a while but check out Charles Sturt for a university stream. They may have something in place now.

UOW has the option for directing in its performance course but its not geared toward film.

NIDA and WAAPA are your best bet, but they're very difficult to get into.

As AbsoluteZero said, WAAPA and NIDA are the best but are very competitive. VCA or Ballarat might have one too. Check Griffin theatre's website, they have heaps of opportunities.

I've heard mixed reviews from UTS's courses, there's one that is aimed at writers, producers and directors.
Sadly most of the ones mentioned above are a little far away from me (but I appreciated the help immensely anyway).
There's also BOND or something similar in Brisbane, I think.

There's also the Sydney Film School, but you'd have to look into the quality of the course. I don't know too much in terms of details.

From it's description that course sounds very intense, four years long and they only take two a year! Thank you very much for your help, I appreciate it.
