Here's what's what:

5 minute speech

Exploring key concern/connection occuring in both texts

It MIGHT include one of the following connections/concerns: theatricality of man, attraction of evil, power of language, pursuit of power, ways of telling a story, or appearance and reality.

"How is my understanding altered under differing contexts and how each composer has reperesented that concern/connection"

I've got a resonable amount of ideas, thought I might ask here for anything else people have picked up.

If any of you are from Barker Year 12 2009....gtfo now... :) More than likely half of you are googling the topic and this thread will come up anyway.

Thanks anyone who gets 'round to helping me out.

try talking about how looking for richard is a modern medium and al pacino uses this as a way to enable a modern audience to better see/recognise the connections between the two texts, via his medium of production (documentary) which includes interviews, nodern day analogies, enactments of key scenes, etc. thorugh this, connections are etsbalished and made clearer for a modern day audience.
shakespeare was limited to language, style, caharcter development, themes, plot etc to make his point, whereas al pacino uses a more flexible medium which allows you to develop a clearer understanding of the key points.
ackowledge that looking for richard has its limitations in terms of how much it can cover, and how useful/useless some of the techniques are, and maybe say that studying the two in conjunction has broadened your understanding, but that looking for richard should not be used as a stand alone text as a means of understanding richard iii.
hope it helps!

Thanks for the tips, the task was to be performed on the day you posted though.

Good tips anyway, hopefully they come to use later on for Trials or something.
