I just found out the part-time per hour rate for a 16 year is $5.80 per hour and $8.30 for an 18 year old! thats ridiculous!

I'd say so, I don't think $5.80 would even be minimum wage for a 14 year old...$8.30 for an 18 yr old is below minimum wage for sure.

i guess it depends what exactly you do..like if your a stacker/packer you prolly won't get that much...also i wonder if it depends on whether its franchise owned or a BP company owned store!?
