Nope, destructive Test...
Because you could probably lose some water molecules Evaporating..,
Also if you heat it.... it would not maintain any evidence which it had prior...
For example...
Lets say there was a huge ice block, Which had bullet shots going through it...
And you heated it into a liquid, then Cooled back too Solid ice.

Wallah! the bullet holes are gone

yes it is destructive as destructive testing is defined by causing any changes to a sample
