im assuimng you didnt read all th econverstion - we already agreed that obviously lower demand courses are at risk but -

i meant mid level entry courses in low demand, as if they start cutting all the top and bottom end entry courses, it'll reduce the number of so called "smart" peopel at the uni, which is bad for the uni, and if they cut bottom end ones, the uni will go against its ideal of opprtunities for a wider range of students etc etc as more people will need to consider other options like Tafe
High cut off courses are usually full, and so are low cut off courses. Thats why the ones in the middle are in danger.

well instead of cutting classess, why not just bunch all the students who need to do them just at 1 campus instead? that way at least they can make curent students happy, unless the demand is like v. low.
more rooms are good, rooms are either overused or underused.

It depends on the classes though. Some classes only run at certain campuses. Plus, if theres too many students, lecturers will complain about how they can't teach the class and mark assignments in time, blah, blah blah (my environment and tourism management lecturer does that every week).

i guess it all coems down to finance doesnt it, no money = constraints put in place = dissatisfaction by some.
i mean if the other faculties would just share some money around, as siad by someone (LaraB?) that the employment relations make money...sharing is caring after all!

haha yeah apparently it goes by campus too as in parra n 2 others make the majority of the money, so they help support hawsebury, sydney CBD< westmead coz theyre smaller n take different subjects that dontr necessary have R+D stuff atthe uni to bring money in

i think its better this way coz then no one gets screwed by a lack of funds, its a mutual thing lol :p
