Hey people (current engineering students or anyone)

1) can you tell us what engineering field are you doing

2) Why did you pick it?

3) What do you Love or hate about it

Thanks, hopefully this will help us decide which field to pick.

1) Chemical

2) On the cutting edge of technology IMO (microfluids, biopolymers, pharmaceutical production, ect)

3) Don't like: hard to find employment because of the full-time hours, first year was pretty boring. I wish there was a chance to get out and "work" like at UTS after first year though

Do like: maths and chemistry. Applied problem solving and modelling plus a BE is a really good degree generally.

1. Civil @ UOW

2. Complements my other degree (Commerce and will diferentiate me from every other accy/finance grad)

3. Challenging, in that I actually have to go to lectures/tutes to ensure I pass rather than commerce where you can rock up at the final and still gets credits.
