Can someone go through the syllabus and state the importance and depth of knowledge required for the dots points for the chemical earth topic. Also, what are some common compounds I should know? I am planning to revise year 11 before 12 since I am lacking a lot of knowledge.

its really important you understand equilibrium reaction from year 11, that is a large component of the year 12 syllabus

Lol nah not gonna do every dot point.

Just make sure you know the key concepts like mole calculations.

I remember someone said earlier. These are the MUST know things:
-Moles and molar ratios/calculations
-Types of forces like diplope dipole, hydrogen bonding, dispersion forces
-Polar and non polar molecules.
-the energy topic you can pretty much skip because it's sort of covered again in yr. 12 (that's what I did)
-Balancing equations

That's like seriously it! Don't waste too much time revising anything else, seriously. I got like. 50-70% in year 11 as I barely studied for chem and now am getting in the 80s usually.

well how about just for the chemical earth topic, since that's where most of my knowledge is missing.

Like, all of it. From what I remember, Chemical Earth contains the majority of the concepts that you'll use in year 12.
