How are you rankings - your raw percentages dont really mean much?

Which school do you go to and how are you ranked? What are you aiming for?

my ranks are average, you have the top kids coming in the top ranks and then theres me around average to more poor, but not too bad. some are alright and others are pretty low but compared to everyone else the actual marks seperating us arent that much.
my school does pretty shit tbh. i dont know i want at least an 80 to say yeah i got an 80 and didnt do to bad cause i dont know what i want to do at uni, if i was to do something i need around 85 for that course but i dont really know if i want to do it but i think i've already fked everything up to get that mark, what do use think?

What school do you go to (give us the rank if you don't want to name)? The reason is that for example, at our school, they mark english very harshly (average is normally around 50-60%) even though we are a selective school and our HSC marks end up being much higher. Some of my friends schools aren't selective and their averages are in the 80's. Raw marks then don't really mean much.

This question crops up so much and to be honest its impossible to answer. Without ranks and a school rank its hard to give you any meaningful feedback, I mean saying your ranks are "average" doesnt really mean anything because we dont have a school rank and we dont know what average means to you (some people say 10th out of 40 is average whilst others would consider this to be up there). I dont mean to be rude, but your question is far too ambiguous.
