Which ATAR calculators do you prefer?
And anyone from the past (or who have known people) who has observed how accurate it is?

I personally used www.atarcalculator.com.au and some friends from the past have said their difference in actual ATAR and the estimated ATAR is only .something or 1 at most.

I've tried http://www.hscatarcalculator.com.au/ and noticed my ATAR calculated by talent100 is around 1 point higher than the one before.

And the matrix one seems a bit higher too.. http://www.matrix.edu.au/atar-calculator/

I just use any and put in every mark as 80. Seems legit for my circumstances.

I've also compared it to a friend's marks from last year, and all of them added around 3 ATAR to his actual for some reason.

Actually I prefs Adrita's atar calculations. Pretty accurate, only 15 atar points differential. So its quite solid. :haha:

no idea, i go for atarcalculator.com cause it gives me the lowest lol

but if they vary by 0.5 or even 1 atar then i'm probably screwed.

i can almost never make the talent 100 go below 97 for me, even if i enter my worst possible scenarios in every subject. but it's probs gonna be like 1 atar off and i'll get 96 or something...

haven't even been thinking about atars until i came on this stupid forum lol

Lol me too. atarcalculator.com gives me the lowest, and it seems I can get 93+ for my worst case scenarios. I feel confident when I type in my estimates using the talent100 coz it always gives me around 96 if I type in my expected marks.

Can you give me an estimate Adrita? (This is worst case scenario)
MX2 - 96
MX1 - 96
Eng Adv - 89
Chemistry - 91
Physics - 88

What I think I can get:
MX2 - 97
MX1 - 96
Eng Adv - 91
Chemistry - 92
Physics - 90

What raw do you think you got in MX1/MX2?

For MX1 I already did it last year and got 96/100 (probs like 64-65/70 raw) and MX2 I'm predicting around 88-90 raw (using carrotstick's solutions)
What do you think realise?
Your MX2 will definitely be a 97 (if you did get 88-90). I'd say you got 64/70 for MX1 since 65/70 went to 97 last year.

really want those double 9s :(
With 96 and 97 in MX1/MX2 you have a really good chance of getting 99. You only need 89-90 on average in each of your remaining subjects to get it (though of course if you got say 95 in chem then you can get like 86 in English and be fine).

Ive come to conclusion I'll most likely get 98.25

Originally thought 99.25, changed my mind, english not gonna go above 86 hehe.
if your other subs are strong enough you can still get over 99
