English standard - 7/99 (The top end of our english cohort is really strong - average was 60% ish in trials while people were achieving 95%+)

Also, is it impossible for me to achieve an ATAR of 99.95?

Aiming for bachelor of science (advanced mathematics) at USYD (last year's cut off was 98.35) - would be happy with ~98.35 but I'm aiming for 99.95 to motivate me to study

Since your ranks are honestly strong then it's not really impossible to get 99.95. However, in terms of being "realistic" I highly doubt you would get 99.95. Most of the people around your rank and your school rank would get around the mid to high 98's. So yup you will get into the course you want, I can be certain. But 99.95, you are a bit too confident

I'd say no, although there is a miniscule chance, I still believe that it is not possible. The max ATAR for all English (Standard) students tends to be around 99.75.
