Hey just reposting my old thread with my trial results. These were with the CSSA trial examinations.

Here are my subjects: (task 1) (task 2) (task 3) + cumulative rank and mark

English Advanced: 83, 95, 80
Trials: 90/100
Cumulative Rank: 6/43

Maths Standard 2: 85, 94, 95
Trials: 90/100
Cumulative Rank: 3/71

Legal Studies: 97.5, 100, 96
Trials: 97/100
Cumulative Rank: 1/24

Business Studies: 100, 100, 100
Trials: 97/100
Cumulative Rank: 1/83

Studies of Religion 2: 90, 92, 93
Trials: 94/100
Cumulative Rank: 2/25


Band 6s for my school:
English: 4 last year
Maths Standard 2: 5 last year
Legal Studies: 2-5 average per year
Business Studies: ~10 average per year
Studies of Religion 2: 5 last year

Ranked top 150 school.

I'd put my money on 94+

If you secure a Band 6 in Eng Adv and slightly lift your Maths mark, you're looking at the high 90s.

90+ pretty good rankings so that may boost it up a little more aswell

I'd say a 97 or 98

It could be quite varied because based on your business studies and legal studies marks you seem like a strong student in those who may possibly perform higher than what the school usually does for a 1st place in those subjects. Therefore, it depends a bit on how you do in the external exam as you could end up with a 93 hsc mark or a something like a 95+ closer to a state rank. So it is likely to be somewhere between 93-97 I would say but even this could be higher depending on if you perform very well in your externals for those 2 particular subjects

Just the main thing I would say is I imagine you are miles ahead of the rest of your cohort in business studies and legal in terms of the marks so don't become complacent leading up to the HSC exams for them. As what can happen is that although you are first and getting high marks now, your external may determine 100% of your mark if you end up being the highest externally as well so if there is a big gap in students someone else won't be able to get a high external mark that you could take as your internal for being ranked 1st in the scenario you perform a little worse there. This is the kind of dodgy thing with the HSC but yeah just be aware of that
