Yeh! Especially that time when they found out that when you tie a firecracker onto and arrow, it would travel quite a long distance, thus inspiring them to play with gunpowder and inventing a simple rocket used for bombardment.

We had a guy in my HSC maths class who did it, I thought he was stupid.

As for pens, I've found that I write much neater with parker pens (I actually made this suggestion in the pens thread back in 09 as a joke but its worked for me)...I don't write any faster but a fine tip parker is more legible at least.

I've been at the library these holidays and I see all these students writing with batteries attached to their pens..
Apparently it makes the pen heavy so when it comes to the actual HSC you can remove it, thus allowing you to write quicker.
IS THAT TRUE?!
WOULDN'T THE PEN JUST WEAR YOUR HAND OUT BEFORE THE HSC?
It's a silly idea. I never used it and was still able to write faster and neater than most people.
