What is the exact number or percentage of days that you need to be at school to be elegible for the Hsc. I want to know the value, attend a few weeks and jig the rest.

Anyone got any ideas?

There is no exact number.

Your principal needs to be satisfied that you've made a serious attempt at all of your courses.

So if you rarely rock up but are coming say top 15 in all courses then it's not like they'll care much.

I think the percentage usuallyreferred to is 80% of the time. For your attendance to be deemed non-serious you must receive at least 2 warning letters about your attendance/behaviour no letters nothing can be done to you

The Board will follow your principal's recommendation.

There is no fixed percentage or number of days - it varies between schools.

heh i never had to worry about this in my school, you miss a day and they mark u absent, if you dont bring a letter they wait and add up those days and send a letter home, you then somehow misplace the letter and the days go missing as well, i apperently missed out 5 days in the year on my report, but in reality it was more like 25.

but yeh noobody will really care if u make the school look good, its in theirs interest to let it slide, but if ur bringing the school down they may use it against you so u dont count in their averages... then again if ur school is this small they may not care at all, i assume this is a tight friendly community u live in :).

actually, im not an angel in the attendance department either but im no where near as bad as you! :p

i go to school every day (hardly ever miss a day) but i occasionally skip classes if i think they're a waste of time so my problem would be with partial absences i guess :D
