If I recall, they found a tape where Osama was talking about a similar subject. They never came out and said "It was us!". In fact, iirc, they denied responsibility.

Well Alexander, Al Qaeda is trying to frighten the shit out of the West. It Al Qaeda simply says they did this bombing, even if they didn't, it'd going to frighten alot of people around thw world who think they're safe, like us.
