Audition/interview at UOW (1 Viewer)

hey guys, im not sure if this has been covered before but eh...

Im considering doing the composition and sound production course at UOW as i want to become an audio engineer (i think the institutes are a waste of money).
However, i am worried about the audition/interview. Can u choose either a Audition or an Interview or a they both integral?

I am also not sure of the quality of music they are expecting, do i need to be an Elite musician? I am quite accomplished at drums (can play Stockholm Syndrome, Muse) and can play a decent level of guitar, is this good enough or will i have no chance?

also have a a couple of recordings of my own compositions which show my audio engineering potential i guess.However i unforntuantly did not do music in year 11 or 12 =[.

I guess i just want to know what to expect, and how hard it is to get in.

Do you remember they types of questions they asked you in the interview? Were they like questions which Assessed your ability in music, or were they just questions which just asked about your experiences and what you wanted to get from the course etc etc?
