Can see any real threat to Qld Labor. I like Bligh very much, even though she looks like her exterior is skillfully encasing a much more attractive woman, aching for release. The opposition need an 8.5 swing, yer?

Better and Better? :jaw:
You are talking about Wayne Swan aren't you?
The fact that it was a bludner that I was talking about might have given away the sarcasm. His parliamentary peformance today was worse than his performance on Qanda. On Qanda he was repetitive and seemed a bit desperate at times but atleast he managed not to deviate from the party rhetoric very far. Today he tried to be abit more audacious, leave that very, very small area of comfort that he has. It was painful to watch.

The astonishing thing, atleast in my opinion, is that Rudd has some competent politicians on his frontbench. I don't think there isn't a labor man alive that isn't praying for Lindsay to take over the treasury except a few who reasonably think Gillard should take it. It's also the worst kept secret on BOS that I'm a big Smith fan and think he'd succede in any portfolio. Any of those three would perform strongly but even Dr Craig has shown alot more promise than Swanny. I also wonder after Crean performed competently as Beazley's shadow treasurer in the 2001 campaign how Swan managed to leapfrog him. Even Jenny Mack has more gravitas and conviction at the dispatch box than old Swanny.

No way!?!?

I thought your avatar was you, and you had the Benjamin Button disease.
In the sense that I think he has admirable skill as a politician. I would not be inclined to vote for him but respect the fact that should he run I reckon about 49% of people would before preferences.

" The LNP needs to win 18 seats on a uniform swing of 7.6% just to deprive Labor of its majority. Majority government for the LNP requires 22 seats and a swing of 8.3%. "

His hair is quite good.

Although he walks a little awkwardly - sometimes slightly pigeon toed.

Yeah, he's definitely aged quite a lot appearance-wise over the past 14 months
