yeah lolman seems to be hardly a-league standard. all he can do is chase. would make a decent leftrightout though.

The next round will be tougher...

(atm there's 5 groups of 4 teams, the top 2 in each group go thru

in the 2nd round there are 2 groups of 5 teams; each team plays the other once, the top 2 in each group get into the world cup and the two 3rd placed play off with the winner facing the Oceania champion for the 5th spot)

We'll need to improve.

again, it depends. if we're third in the next stage it's one date. If not, it'll be another. Hell, it's possible that after only half the games we'll already know that we qualified.

He did.

I believe we only need a draw now to make it through to the next round of qualifying. Great stuff. Would be good to watch them in 2010,.
I don't think so. We're 3 wins, 1 draw, 0 losses = 7pts. China is third at 3pts. If we draw the next one and lose the following two, we'll be on 8 pts, and if China wins two, they'll overtake us. Qatar could draw two, win one and also overtake us. Then we'll all cry. I think even Iraq could potentially overtake us (it'd be a miracle though).

again, possibly never. 'It depends'. The qualifying system has changed. Previously in order to qualify, Australia had to win against another team. Now, they merely play in a group against 4 other teams. If they win their first 5 games, it's unlikely that they'll be knocked out of the top 2, so there won't be a 'massive match' like in 05.

The biggest match will probably be against the higher seed of the group (possibly Japan or South Korea depending on how this stage of qualifying goes).

should be just about through. Can't see us losing all the remaining games, although Beauchamp will try his hardest to ensure such a result happens

So how about the likelihood of Australia hosting the 2018 World Cup.
Very little chance.

But i think we would have a great chance for 2022, i think we'd be one of the favourites. 2018 looks almost certain to england.
