I have a few questions regarding this course i would appreciate if some of u could help with the answers.
Firstly what would the UAI requirement be, and say it was 75 and i got 70 but i also got the 5 marks from CSU would that mean i get in?
Second would it be possible to turn it into a double degree and do B Business (Marketing)?.
Thirdly if i apply will i find out i got in by phone or in the first round offers.
and last how many people do they let in?

Thanks in advanced

the UAI requirement isnt published and not many people really know..most people get from the 80's and up..although there are several that got in the 70's and a few in the 60's.

i have no idea about doing a double degree. it could work if you wanted to do the business degree through de (distance education) - however that would be a lot of work. Instead of doing a double degree you could choose business subjects as one of your electives in second year if you wanted. I'd say ring up the course coordinator about it once you get accepted in the course!

You find out in the first round offers if you applied during the normal times and submitted your essays etc etc

yup cept im not doing journo -i'm doing pr, which is similar to journo, as we do basically the same subjects (minus 1) in first year. second year is a tad different as they can choose between print and broadcast journo to specialise in.

Journalism at Bathurst

hey scrumpet, just read your post.

I have just completed my first year of journalism at Bathurst and have had the best time. I only got a UAI of 70.6 but still got in. Make your you really focus on the essays and try and get as much industry experience as possible. Oh and put in some references from different groups you have ben involved in. That really helps you get accepted into the course cause it shows you actually are interested.

I dont know about doing a double degree you would have to enquire with the course co-ordinator about that but like a previous post you would prob have to do it by distance which would be a lot more work.

If you do get accepted into the course then you will find out in the first round offers on the internet. Im not sure when that is but im sure you are.

and finally i think there is about 70 journo students in my year so i am assuming that it isnt vastly different each year, but you never know.

Hope this helps and good luck with your offers.

Yea Thanks for that.

Well my UAI wasnt quite what i was hoping for but with the 5 marks from CSU it will bring it above 70.

I have done a bit of experience and have added all that into my application plus references and referees.

As far as my essays i did them and asked my English teacher to look over them, hopefully they were ok..
