First thing, where do we find suggested outlines ?

I heard that doing BBA102 and MKTG101 is required for application to a professional body. (CPA/CA)

required for what?

mq's accg degree is an accredited degree. and to get that degree we dont need those 2 subjects. so how can that be required.

i also want to know where you found the suggested outlines, i wonder if they have one for just accg.

Yeah I read that in the handbook somewhere.
I just combined the two programs of study for Accg and AppFin, and I didn't know both Econ200 and 201 were cores .. I used to think that but after checking I thought we only needed to do one of them...also what happens to all the other Comm - Accg cores, its not even in that suggested outline...

uh for appfin/accg, you only have to do one of econ200 or econ201.

no 200/300 level econ units are needed for accounting
and only either econ200 or econ201 are needed for applied finance......

for the core units under both degrees, you gotta look at the separate degrees for both and then just combine those.

Yeah, I think you can enrol by proxy. Enrolment does include subject selection, its recommended you make your timetable before you go, saves alot of time. To authorise a proxy you have to get a form, I think it's from uni, and yeah make sure you get in touch with them because they might screw up your timetable :p

On advisory day, do they give u info about what first years' subjects includes? or tat's only send to offered students?

Sorry, I didn't go to advisory day, I was overseas lol
I wouldn't think they'd discriminate between people who have been offered courses would they .. ?

i've done mktg101... its easy....
i heard bba102 is boring...

the applied finance units don't mention those two units as core..... but they are required for professional recognition at the banking and finance institute.... it's mentioned somewhere else at the beginning of the handbook.

i plan on doing econ232 next semester, are you doing it to choco?

Heh, well I tried to go a while back to get advice, like it said in eStudent, Finance section was pretty cool about it, told me to check with Accounting dept too, but they told me to go during advising day on Jan 5th. Not very nice, considering eStudent says something about there being no advice in January! Isn't that advising day for first years only =/

Guess I'll go anyway now.
